Daily Photography
A photo each and every day, for a few years.
While it seems like everyone has a photoblog these days, a few years ago it wasn't the case. And a few years ago, I was better off developing my own photoblog software than using available off-the-shelf tools.

Sample page from the Daily Photography website.
This website is a
- searchable photoblog, photography gallery and archives repository
- simple content management system
The site was built to accomodate a few desires.
- To put existing PHP and MySQL knowledge into a real-world test environment.
- To build a custom blog application after not being satisfied with the state of currently available blogging applications (circa 2003).
- To encourage regular photography experiments by way of an imposed daily deadline.
Over its lifespan the site saw one major interface design revision and a number of technical changes. The technical changes were made to accomodate extremely high bandwidth requirements and spam attacks.
In short, I was responsible for everything. Meaning: site design, development, programming and of course, all the photography featured on the site.
